My name is Tamara McElmurry. I am a 2nd grade teacher at Compass Academy. This will be my 13th year at Compass, but my 21st year of teaching. I have taught pre-k, kinder, and 2nd grade.
I was raised in Odessa, graduated from Permian High School, and attended McMurry University in Abilene. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and an endorsement in Early Childhood.
I have been married 4 years to my husband Brady. We enjoy traveling, going to races, and hanging out with friends and family.
I absolutely love teaching at Compass and I’m very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family and community.
