 A little about me J

I have lived in Odessa for most of my life. I attended Permian high school and graduated in 2002. I am a proud graduate of UTPB and have a Bachelors Degree in Multidisciplinary studies, as well as a Masters Degree from UTPB in Educational Leadership and will finish my second Masters in Professional School Counseling in the fall of 2024. I hold teaching certifications for grades  Elementary education Ec.-6th grade, and Fine Arts(Theatre) K-12.  This will be my 8th year teaching at Compass. I have taught in special ed/resource, 5th grade, 2nd grade and High school Theatre. I was lucky enough to be awarded Teacher of the Year at my campus in ECISD for the 2015-2016 school year. I have been married for 20 years, and have 3 amazing kids!  Brayden is a Sophomore at West Texas A&M in Canyon Tx studying Graphic Design. Brody who is a Senior here at Compass, and my daughter Brynlie is a Sophomore and a 2nd year Varsity Cheerleader at Permian High School, so if you are ever at a game you will definitely see us!

A little something fun this year!

One of the most exciting things your child will get to do in my class, is join a team house! They will belong to one of four houses for the entire year. They will have the opportunity to earn points for their house throughout the year, learn how to work as a team, support each other and build positive relationships. The houses focus and build on encouragement and positive behavior.

The houses are:

Amistad, Alturismo,

Reveur, and Isibindi
