About Mrs. Herrera
Hello and welcome to my page!
My name is Naomi Herrera and I am from a small town right outside of El Paso, TX. After graduating high school in 2007, I left town and attended college in peaceful Alpine, TX. I received my bachelors degree from Sul Ross State University and quickly moved to Odessa to be with my wonderful husband, Ben. After having my daughter Isabella, and then entering the workforce, I realized my passion was with children so I headed back to school to become a certified elementary teacher with an ESL supplemental. I did this by attending UTPB for one more year of schooling and then began my teaching career in 2015. I have taught pre-k, kindergarten and first grade - and now I get to teach 3rd grade! I am so excited to begin my third year at Compass. Go Cougars!

Food: Anything really! I’m not picky ☺

Activities: being with family, movie nights, crafting, cooking/baking with my daughter
