Kindergarten Teacher

My name is Brittany Gilbert and this is my first year at Compass Academy! I will be teaching Kindergarten and I am so excited to join the Compass Cougar Family!!! 

I graduated from the University of the Permian Basin. I am going through the Take Flight training for Dyslexia and I have also completed some grad school to obtain my Masters in the Science of Reading. I have previous experience teaching Kindergarten at Bowie Fine Arts in Midland, Texas. Before that, I taught in Greenwood in 2nd and 3rd grade.

I was born and raised in the Permian Basin and have been married to my husband for 7 years. We have two amazing children: Peyton Gilbert (6 years old) Cooper Gilbert (4 years old). We also have three dogs!

I am so excited to start this school year! I cannot wait to meet all 21 kids this school year! We will have fun learning together, laughing together and making all new memories together!
