Hello!

 My name is Rebecca Cressman and this is my sixth year as the Special Education Director and Resource/Inclusion Teacher at Compass Academy. I hold a Texas Teaching Certificate for Special Education K-12 and Generalist 4-8. I recently graduated with my Masters in Educational Leadership from UTPB as well. I have been teaching 15 years and I’ve met some pretty great people along the way! I am very excited to be here because I can see that the entire staff at Compass truly cares about children and strives to do what is best for them.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Matt, and two sons, Hayden and Sam. We also have a Boston Terrier named Walter who is considered part of the family. I love to cook, draw, paint, and travel. I have been fortunate enough to visit Kenya, where part of my heart now lives at an orphanage in Kitale. The children there have taught me so much about myself, and it certainly reminds me of all the things for which I need to be thankful!

I am originally from Michigan and my husband is from Canada, but we have lived in Odessa for 18 years.
