Joe Haston Seventh Grade Social Studies

Hello!

I am excited to be entering my 24th year in education, and my eighth year here at Compass Academy Charter School.  Prior to Compass, I taught at Crockett Junior High for five years, where I had a self contained special education classroom, and at Bowie Junior High, where I worked in the special education department for a few years, and then moved over to the math department.  I worked at Bowie for eleven years.  

I am married to my beautiful wife Carla, and have two children, and more importantly, four grandchildren!

When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, friends, and playing my trumpet in the church orchestra.  

I am looking forward to another great year here at Compass, and to having your student in my Texas History class.
