Get to know your teacher!
Hello, my name is Rachel Dunn and I'm so excited to be your child's teacher. This will be my 21st year in education! I taught 20 years teaching Kindergarten and this year I will be teaching 3rd grade! I taught 14 years in ECISD and this will be my 7th year at Compass. I grew up here in Odessa, attending Blackshear Elementary, Bonham Jr. High and graduated from Permian High School. After graduation I went to Odessa College, Texas Tech and finished up at UTPB. I received my degree in Humanities and got my certification in Early Childhood Education: Pre-K-4. My husband Bryon and I have been married for 13 years and we have one son, Jake. I love what I do and one of my favorite things is when students have an "aha" moment. One goal for my students is they find a love of learning. I am looking forward to an AWESOME year!
