                                                                                       Hi there!

-->I'm Mrs. Hernandez. This is my second year to teach Texas History and I am so excited! In previous years, I've taught 7th and 8th grade math, Algebra, 7th grade Science, 9th grade IPC, and I also spent one year as a teacher coach. I'm so grateful to be a Compass teacher!

 

-->I have a Bachelors degree from UTPB in Multidisciplinary Studies. I am certified as a 4-8 Generalist teacher and I also have an ESL certification.

 

-->I truly believe that every student is capable of learning and having fun at school. I want to get to know each of my students and help them out if I see them struggling or just in need of a smile. 

 

-->We will work hard in my class while we learn all about the historical adventures, big characters, and amazing locations around our GREAT STATE OF TEXAS. In my class, we take notes, read, discuss, draw, use maps, watch interesting video clips, work in groups, use online games to reinforce learning, do projects, and lots more!

 

-->During my free time I like to spend time with my family, read, travel, go to church, watch Texas Rangers baseball, watch Dallas Cowboys and Red Raider football, compete with my sisters daily on Wordle, talk to my horses, and learn Spanish on my Duolingo app.
