Hi there!
-->I'm Mrs. Hernandez. I am teaching 7th grade math this year and I'm soooo excited!
In previous years, I've taught 7th and 8th grade math, Algebra, 7th grade Science, 9th grade IPC, 7th grade Texas History, and I also spent one year as a teacher coach. I'm so grateful to be a Compass teacher!
-->I have a Bachelors degree from UTPB in Multidisciplinary Studies. I am certified as a 4-8 Generalist teacher and I also have an ESL certification.
-->I truly believe that every student is capable of learning and having fun at school. I want to get to know each of my students and help them out if I see them struggling or just in need of a smile.
-->My goal is to convince every student that they can do math! It can actually be fun! I love to help a student who is struggling or think that they can't do it. I will be their biggest cheerleader when they solve that problem! They will know very early that it's ok to get it wrong, as long as you do not give up!
-->During my free time I like to spend time with my family, read, travel, go to church, watch Texas Rangers baseball, watch Dallas Cowboys and Red Raider football, compete with my sisters daily on Wordle, talk to my horses, and learn Spanish on my Duolingo app.
