This will be my fourth year here at compass but will be my 20th year teaching Art.

With the growth of Compass the Art Department has grown as well.

The 2 concentration art classes that I will be teaching this year.

PAINTING and SCULPTURE

These are level 2 classes so a student must have earned credit for Art 1 before enrolling. 

Art classes will be filled with projects and activities that will boost student’s critical thinking, grow creativity, improve participation, and develop communication skills by creating, writing, and talking about art. Art students can expect to encounter several different art media and projects to go along with them. Art 2 and above students can still expect some project assignments created by me but will be encouraged, challenged, and required to create their very own project from scratch using any media they choose with guidance from the teacher.

Art Fee of $20.00

Sketchbook

Pencil

Eraser

Color Pencils

Markers

Wipes

Any brand will work and there will always be supplies in class for you to use.

The Art fee is used to purchase supplies that are hard to get in local stores, or buy certain materials in bulk 

Donations are welcome if you have anything that is crafty that you no longer want or need please contact me.

We might be able to find a home for it.
