Hi there,

My name is Ricardo Peña, but you can call me Rick. I'm excited to start my 9th year at Compass Academy, where I'll work alongside some amazing students, faculty, and staff.

This will be my 28th year in the field of education, and I graduated with a BS in Psychology from The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. I'm certified in Special Education EC-12th grade and Generalist 4-8.

I'm actually from Odessa, born and raised! When I'm not working, I love spending time with my lovely wife, Laura. We have 3 dogs and 3 cats, and we enjoy traveling, reading, and listening to music.
