Welcome!

I am thrilled to be teaching another year at Compass Academy!

A little about me: I was born and raised in Odessa and attended Ross Elementary, Hood Jr. High, and Permian High School. I graduated from UTPB in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, along with an Early Childhood endorsement. My teaching journey began 22 years ago at San Jacinto Elementary, where I taught kindergarten and 1st grade. I then transitioned to Compass Academy to teach 2nd grade.

On a personal note, I have been happily married for 32 years, and we are proud parents of three wonderful children. Our oldest has a degree in dance education and is currently teaching here in Odessa. She married in September 2019, and we were delighted to welcome our new son-in-law to the family. Our two youngest are both seniors here at Compass. Our son plays hockey for the Jr. Jackalopes, while our youngest daughter enjoys spending time with her dogs and friends.
