Homework
Homework information and expectations
There will be no required homework for your child. We will have weekly tests that we highly encourage your child to prepare for but the amount of time you spend is entirely up to you. Below is a list of tests that your child will take weekly.
- Spelling Test- It will be given on Fridays. The list will go home the Friday before so that your child may have the weekend to practice if you choose. A link to an activity suggestion page will be located on this web page.
- Math Facts Test- This test will be given each Friday. Your child will have a set of 25 addition problems they must complete in 2 minutes. If they make below a 90, they will retake the test at a later date until they are able to pass with a 90 or higher. Those that complete each set of facts will attend the Addition Fact Party. (Date TBA) Subtraction facts will follow with the same criteria. The assigned facts will be placed in a sheet protector in your child's binder for them to practice using the dry erase marker that is located in their zipper pouch. Daily practice is recommended
- AR Test- Each week your child will read books on their reading level and take AR tests on their Ipads. Those who meet their AR goal will attend a party at the end of each 6 week period. Nightly reading is recommended.
